Panmure Lagoon to Orakei Basin
A leisurely Sunday cycle ride along the newly opened section 2 of the Te Ara Ki Uta Ki Tai (the path of land and sea) pathway and down through Glen Innes towards the Panmure Basin, mostly on cycle paths and quiet roads. Cycling around the Panmure Lagoon, we will then follow quiet roads to the Tamaki Path and continue to Wai-o-Taiki Bay. This will lead us to Taniwha St and onto West Tamaki Rd to head back down the new Te Ara Ki Uta Ki Tai pathway to Orakei Basin. The route has been chosen to make use of many of the local bike paths, but you must be comfortable riding on roads as well. Being a Sunday, the traffic should not be too bad along West Tamaki Rd. Distance is around 30 kms. Tail End Charlie will be Annie Melrose.
