Event Description

This new extended trip to the Waiotira Junction, is a trip that has not been available to the public for over 50 years. Waiotira is where the Dargaville branch line joined the Main Trunk Line from Auckland to Whangarei. You will travel over 21 bridges and through 2 tunnels, with the longest being 638 meters. Travel through native bush, farmland, forestry blocks and other interesting places which you can’t see anywhere but by rail.
